Hi elvis fan 1976,
that's a tough question man, I love the mature Elvis in 'Elvis On Tour' but I also love the 'fresh to the stage' Elvis in TTWII.
I think TTWII just wins it by a margin for me! (y)

TTWII I think because theres more musical numbers but EOT is special as well because you get to see more of the inner Elvis.
They were both superb.
He had certainly changed within those two years and its plain to see when you watch them.

I like them both, ttwii is Elvis at his full , he was sexy, he was hot, he was great on stage; in eot he's more mature, still sexy of course..I voted for eot because I think he had more experience on stage !

Sorry but TTWII definateyl wins it for me, i have both of the movies but i think he was fresher, more alert, and definately sexier in TTWII. In EOT you can see the effects of the drugs starting to take their toll although it still is great to watch!:king:

I voted for TTWII because even i like EOT too you can see it was the start of his health decline. But i hope they will release it on dvd with all the outakes footage

I think TTWII wins it from EOT because i like that one too.Polk Sallad Annie from EOT is much better than that one from TTWII but the 1970 version is cool also:)
I like the performances on TTWII more than Elvis On Tour. Polk Salad Annie, Suspicious Minds, I Got A Woman, Don't Be Cruel and Patch It Up are elvis at his very best. Elvis On Tour deserve the same picture quality and editing as TTWII. when will we get a special edtion.
Thats The Way It Is wins to me anyway

Hi Gang,
for me it has to be Elvis On Tour, 1972 was supposedly the year that Elvis was meant to have suffered a decline in record sales and fears were all around that our great man could just simply fade away into the background and become a has been (yeah right!!!!).
between eot and ttwii I saw eot first and to be honest it simply blew me away, The power that is in Elvis vocals and the whole performance and delivery from his band still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up even now. Just listen to both the Madison Square Garden cd's and you will see exactly what I mean.
TTWII is really good but I think the original version suffered too much from pointless issues, such as conventions, tribute artists etc, the second edition showed how it should have been done first time around (just a pity they cut songs out the second one that featured on the original though).
The ironic thing was that he surpassed ttwii and eot with Aloha in 1973 but thats another topic completely, but for me by a country mile it has to be ELVIS ON TOUR.

Watching both superb video's, it's tough to say. If you go by physical appearance, TTWII catches EP looking incredible. That being said, EOT is a better all around film in my opinion. EOT did win a golden globe btw for those who didn't know.

HI!
I prefer TTWII because the voice and the energy that Elvis had was amazing.
Besides he was very beautiful and sexy in that movie, and his moves.... wow!!

You simply cannot beat Elvis in 1970. His voice, his power and his looks where almost perfect. Even as a straight male I have to admit, that Elvis just looked gorgeous during that time. Two years later he had lost some of that magic. But still I like EOT very much and I'm still impressed by his performances of BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER, YOU GAVE ME A MOUNTAIN or POLK SALAD ANNIE. Oldies like A BIG HUNK O' LOVE or LAWDY MISS CLAWDY had never sounded better. He still could perform like no one else.

I voted for "On Tour" because I'd rather watch Elvis do his road show then his Vegas gig. But honestly, I've never been crazy about either film.

I like them both (y) (i cant choose)
This is the KINGs work:king: :notworthy
I wish people stopped comparing these two films. They are both capturing a different time frame and the one is not better than the other. Just different. Best thing to do is enjoy them both.
I think most fans I've talked to here do enjoy both Leroy. This was just a chance to talk about them and say which they prefered if they had to chose.
