I've got ot go for Memphis sessions. They are incomparable in my opinion. Great classic songs, redefined Elvis and energized his career and him. Love it!!!
I'd have to call that a draw. IMO all his best stuff came from 68-71 sessions and concerts.

Thats a tough one but i have to go with Memphis 1969 but Nashville was a good session too. (y)
Memphis '69 was possibly his best recording session, IMO. It's close between that and his early '60s sessions, IMO.
I think Elvis had his best songs overall in the '60s (yes that includes some of his movie songs). Then I'd have to say '50s and '70s is almost a deadlock.

I voted for Nashville 70. In the early 70's Elvis was at his best.
The Memphis sessions did bring Elvis back to the charts.:hmm:

What a run of great albums EP cut from 1968/1970. Here is 7 excellent albums of the twelve, that's right, twelve albums released during this 3 year span, including two box sets! Take a look at that list and the incredible music he recorded, unfrickinbelievable! Just the Memphis and Country LP's alone were awesome, not to mention the others. Most artists would die for two releases like this in 3 years.

In the early 70's Elvis was at his best.
As a performer, yes, I'd agree that late '60s and early '70s he was at his best.

While some fantastic material came out of Nashville in 1970, it's the Memphis 69 sessions for me!:D
Memphis Sessions by far. When you consider what he was recording before Memphis 69 its even more amazing.
