What is the most takes Elvis ever done? :doh: Hound Dog was 31 takes thats the higest i ever heard he done.

The master take is a splice of take 40, 47, & 48
So he completed 48 takes for this one song
On the Collector's Gold Elvis is recording Pocketfull of Rainbows and he mentioned he recorded a song that took 60 takes and that it never came out.
I think he might of been speaking about this song personally because it did not come out till later on after GI Blues.
