Yes, Elvis' own Great Dane 'Brutus' appeared in the movie 'Live A Little Love A Little' as 'Albert'

Did you know that on the master take of Way Down, at the very end after JD's bass line, if you turn up the volume (better through headphones!) you can hear Elvis' dog barking.
I can't remember the dog's name now, i think it was something like 'Getlo' (y)

IIRC from Guralnick, Elvis met the dog that played Brutus while on the set of Live a Little, and was so taken with him he insisted on buying him.

Priscilla took the great Danes with her when she left Elvis. I have pics of her with a very old Brutus.
There was also Snoopy if I remember right . They had two Danes.
After they died, Priscilla had 2 dobermanns, which Elvis didn't like. He called them "Dogs from Hell":)

Sorry -- this picture is hilarious.
Elvis finally met his match.
But man... those dogs are freakin' massive. I wouldn't want to own a dog that big.

This is an interesting animal for sure, though it takes a lot of effort to take care of. It is recommendable to own a huge lawn or something, because these creatures need to answer nature's call as well, if you know what I mean. It's an impressive animal, though.
Why on earth did Priscilla take away these dogs? Was it her female right or something? Anyway you look at it, nice 'Anubis'! (I guess it's fair to state that dogs, jackals, coyotes and wolves are more or less part of the same realm)

I think she considered the dogs really hers. They were her pets. I read he gave her once a poodle but she really wanted a massive dog. Lisa was very fond of them and probably Elvis tought it was OK to him that she took the dogs with her. I think they lived with them in the LA house but never at Graceland. I think they were kept in LA the whole time. Have never seen any pics of the dogs at Graceland.

If it is true that Cilla considered the dogs to be hers, why did she? Unless I'm very much mistaken I read that Elvis bought Brutus. Or was it really to please his daughter Lisa?
Did Elvis get along with Brutus? I think that Brutus is cute!

The Great Danes were favorites-and got in his bed with him in it! He was laughing and saying, get off me, oh god get off me! and they were slurping all over his face and he couldn't get untangled or out from under them-they were huge! He got them to take care of Lisa! She was like a toy doll to them but I guess they were very, very gentle and good with her.
A little text I found on another website about the dogs.

Hi
Here's a picture of Getlo in Vegas with Elvis. Don't know the date and it was the only one I could find. I am interested where that name came from. Anyone know? I sent an email to Joe Esposito to find out. Don't know if It'll get answered though. If it does, I'll post it here.
