Label: Madison CWP/13 MS
Released: 2006
Sound quality: good/very good (soundboard)
Date: November 10, 1971
Location: Boston
Jumpsuit: Black Matador suit
Reviews: n/a
Note: This fine concert already got it's release back in 1997 as: "The Power Of Zhazam!" That release also featured excerpts from the 1971 "The Image, The Man" dialogue. As well as the homerecording of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry", which this year (2006) got released as part of the "Made In Memphis" FTD cd.
This new release has better quality than the original 1997 release. Knowing the Madison label releases, it should be a fine CD.

Review One Night
The Sound
It is true this has been released before, but because of the awesome and I mean awesome upgrade in sound, this is almost another concert now.
I read somewhere that the difference is this.
The Power of Zhazam sounds like if you were outside the building listening to the concert.
One Night Only sounds like if you have front row seats inside the show
Just a wonderful sounding show. Clear and Crisp and every word is heard perfectly.
The Show
Elvis is really in top form. He does not sound bored or frustrated. He is in a great mood and he performs all songs with great emotion and with great power in his voice. This is also the first time Elvis has JD Sumner and the Stamps to perform with him. This is a great '71 concert. In my opinion it blows The Impossible Dream (FTD) version away. It is a shame that How Great Thou Art is not complete and so is the Introductions which not a big deal. Too bad they could of flipped the tape over in between songs but still a great show.
The Songs Highlights
That's All Right-Great opening song for the show. Right away we know this show will be awesome.
I'm Leavin'-An underrated song that deserves more then it gets.
Bridge Over Troubled Water-Fantastic performance with a reprise of the ending. Forceful and powerful.
Suspicious Minds-A great song mixed with a great performance.
Every song is top notch and there are no weak points in this performance at Boston.
This is a must for not only Elvis fans, but this is also for those who just listen to Elvis once in a while. A great example of how great Elvis was in the day.

Out of 10 I give this Import a 9. The only reason is because it is still not complete with How Great Thou Art not complete and the Introduction also. If it was complete I would give it a 10. Because of sound, songs chosen, and because the show is from '71. Not many of those around. lol Enjoy

Okay, listened to it several times and it is AWESOME!!!!!
That's All Right- Great Opening, the "de-de-da-dede" part is repeated.
I GOt A WOman/Amen- Starts out lacking energy, but the end makes you forget about that.
Proud Mary- Slower than 72 versions, but still rockin!
You DOn't Have TO Say You Love Me- ELvis misses a line or two, but still great!
You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'-ELvis tries to signal Joe Guercio at the beginning. Not as good as TTWII, but still great.
Polk Salad Annie- Elvis is clearly bored with the spoken intoduction, but it is great after that!
Love Me- Typical 70s Version
Heartbreak Hotel- Like THe MSG version
Blue Suede SHoes- SO energetic, even more so than MSG!
One Night- WHen he says "just call my name," the crowd shouts "ELVIS"
Hound DOg- Like MSG
How Great Thou Art- Not complete, but you get a great taste
I'm Leavin- One of the highlights of the show
Bridge- Even with the reprise, you're left wanting more!!!!!
I Can't Stop Lovin' You- Powerful and energetic.
Love Me Tender- Typical
Suspicious MInds- Great version, he intoduces the "I hope this suit don't tear up baby"
Funny How TIme Slips Away- Like the EOT version
Can't Help Falling In Love _ Great concert, it's over already? :(
