as i dont know a lot about the sale can anyone tell me why did lisa sold is it 50% or 75% , isnt graceland still profitable?
did she need the money what happened?
why did she not look after it because her dad left it for her?
she should have shown more interest why didn`t she and what are her feelings for the elvis fans does she really like us?
how much money did she get for it?
any elvisfans with more knowledge than myself could you come forward with any info
thankyou.

She sold 85% to Sillerman. She still owns Graceland, All the furniture, Cars, etc. She did this I think because EPE had some things they had plans for but could never afford it or something but now that Sillerman owns Elvis' name and image they can do all those plans that they have had for years. Sillerman is a billionare. I think it was a good decision on Lisa Marie's behalf.
I have read the thinking behind the sale of licensing his image was that new blood was needed(and new money) They wanted a fresh approach to bringing him to the newer generations. Whether or not this is good for the Elvis legacy will have to be seen.

Yeah, and Elvis wasn't too fond of it. Let's thank Priscilla for swamping little Lisa into all this :hmm:

No matter what they say its a cult.
Any religion where you have to give money is wrong.
They`re all brainwashed.
Priscilla tried to make out that Scientology would have helped Elvis-

:cursing:  "If he had gone the route of spiritual growth instead of the road he went down, Elvis could be alive and well today and as happy as Priscilla and Lisa-Marie." :cursing:
That spokeswoman made me sick to my stomach with that stupid statement. Does she know that Elvis was a constant seeker of information regarding all types of religion. Seems to me like Elvis was constantly trying to grow spiritually.

It's because the woman can't sing if her life depended on it. Shows you how talent is NOT hereditary. If it weren't for her famous last name, nobody in their right mind would have given her a recording deal.
And those loads of Elvis fans who keep saying "her daddy must be so proud of her/of her talent" make me seriously wonder how they can even say such a thing. The obvious quality of Elvis' voice, his natural talent, compared to the scratchy, off key, gurgly, foghorn, or gutteral noises Lisa produces (some of the best - or worst - examples> her completely off key performance on BBC's Top of the Pops of "Lights Out", her gargling live version of "Dirty Laundry" on Oprah, her horrible "duets" with Pat Benatar and Billy Idol) makes one wonder how people with obvious taste and understanding of talent (Elvis') can claim the same of someone who could best be compared to the hobos on the street, "singing" along to an out of tune guitar for a quick buck to buy booze or coffee:wallbash:
And no: that is NOT just my opinion. It amazes me to quite a high degree (see above) that the only people who find her noises attractive are found on Elvis messageboards, who should know better. All Elvis fans I meet in the flesh think she's horrible, as do all people I know over 14 who have an ear for music.
Elvis was constantly searching for answers to the questions that mattered to him. I think the biggest question he ever had was "why me lord?" and the second was ,"am I worthy of all this?"
As far as Lisa's singing my daughter bought her first album and some of it is not bad, but unlike her dad she can not sing live. Whoever sets up her mix must be incompetent because she can not be heard above the music and others who sing. It all blends together into a blur of sound. Either she has great trouble staying on key when live or she needs to get a better mixing board and better engineers to mix her live sets.
