Nancy Sinatra Sees Elvis Legacy As Model For Frank
Almost eight years after the death of Frank Sinatra, Nancy is determined to make a documentary about her father that would obviously include Elvis. The Sinatra family, keen to avoid the tacky imitators that followed Elvis Presley after his death, took advice from Presley's ex-wife Priscilla on the best way to handle his futuristic retrospective. "Elvis has been gone for so long. They (Graceland) have had a head start on how to do this, this keeping of the flame and the legacy," Nancy said. At the same time, Nancy, who starred alongside Elvis in the 1968 racing car movie 'Speedway', thinks she learned lessons from some of the mistakes: "Poor Elvis. The real Elvis has been virtually abused in a way over the years. We don't want Frank to become a caricature", she said.

Its sad but there is some truth here, to many Elvis is a caricature, even a parody of who and what he reallywas. To many hes the peanut butter and banana sandwich eating heavy guy in a white Jumpsuit who took to many pills and who says "Thank ya thank ya very much....His music and talent are included nowhere in that description and that is the crime of it.
