It's always nice to see good quality candids, here are a couple I got recently Of Elvis wearing the Dark Blue Two Piece - with Light Blue Armadillo Small Scales in 1975.
What makes these shots unusual is that Elvis is wearing a dark coloured shirt! I haven't seen any live shots of Elvis wearing a dark shirt in conjunction with these dark blue two pieces. It's possible that this could have made it's way into a street suit selection or a change of shirt upon arrival at the venue :hmm:

Very interesting, as far as I know Elvis wore this on stage in 1975 but he could have worn this 2-piece suite as street clothes, why the heck not it looks awesome on him.

Brad is right. These pictures are taken in July 1975 when Elvis arrived for his show in Terra Haute. By that time he started to wear these suits as street wear.
I love these pictures Matt, great assett.

Is Elvis arriving to the motel(?) in a station wagon? It sure seems that way. Why would Elvis stay in a flea bag motel and ride around in a station wagon? Shouldn't he be arriving in a limo? Great candid photos though. Elvis looks totally cool in the dark with dark look.

I thought that myself when I saw these pics Tiger Man..the accomodation isnt exactly the Hilton is it??? Then again there are quite a few pics of Elvis entering/exiting motels in the '70's which have a similar 'flea bag' look to them.

don't know if these photos were taken the very same day - may have been, looking at the shirt. hee seems to wear a 'choker' and a necklace with a cross, doesn't he?
found these some time ago on the FECC board, the credits hence go the FECC uploader, not to me (and i think they can be found on the 'candid central' as well).
hugs, ellie
PS what i found interesting in JJ's first pic: linda is walking not very close to him. didn't they split a short time later!?

I was going to say almost the same thing. I have seen Elvis in a station wagon before, but the super 8 or whatever does seem a bit odd.Anyway they are great pics and they prove Elvis was a human and not a stuck up idol.
Beside Sony and Red, joe and Linda who else is in the pics???????:D

The station wagon thing reminded me of another photo I had seen on Paul's Elvis Page (Candid Central) years ago from December '76 in Las Vegas...

As far as the station wagon, he probably wanted to call very little attention to himself & the MM. The fleabag Motel well, there's that really funny story that Elvis liked to repeat for laughs. He was booked in what was a 5 Star hotel in years past by the Colonel, but when he & the boys arrived it was less than great. He had the guys call around to find better accomodations. Finally one hotel clerk told them, "There are NO rooms to be had anywhere, don't you know that Elvis is in town?" :king::lmfao::king:
