It's not my favourite but I like it.

I have seen some beautiful paintings of Elvis but I have not got many photos of them:-( Maybe someone here has a few?

By the same artist as the White Suit Elvis in Graceland...so is the first one.

Andy Warhol's Flaming Star pics are fine too.

Elvis is not the easist subject for an amateur painter because we all know him so well......but I have done a few of him.

Now if I only had Rembrandt's skill.............LOL ,or even Ralph Wolfe Cowan's (Above) talent..........

I've never been to Graceland but if I'm not wrong this one is there too...maybe in the living room. Did Elvis put it there by himself or someone else did after his death?:hmm:

Yes I saw that one in Graceland.

This is an old one from 1981. An Elvis fan bought it.

I painted it in oils.

Now I use Acrylics. Much faster drying and I don't get it all over the place:)............. when I get off my lazy backside and actually do any painting nowadays.

Keep them coming.I might be inspired to pick up the brushes.

No Dovey...I haven't made them by myself..:'( :'( I'd like to have that big talent!!

I had them in my personal gallery (taken by the net through the years) 'cause I like paintings, especially Elvis ones.
He was so handsome that many artists have used him as subject and I can say they all did a good job! They're wonderful and some of them are very original...I'm glad you like them!:notworthy :clap:

I don't think it's from a photo of the two of them. Since at the time Lisa looked like that, Elvis looked different. Lisa is 6 there, in the actual pic she was with Priscilla, as far as I remember. And Elvis seems like in 1969 or 1970 ;)

I've been very busy offline recently and just catching up on the many beautiful Paintings, drawings and sketches of Elvis.

Has anyone got a number so far? it would be interesting to see how many have been posted on this thread alone.

Elvis surely inspires a great many artists.

Yesterday Andy Warhols Flaming Star Elvis printed on curtains was used in a house makeover on Independent Television in England, also large Jailhouse rock prints.

From the very interesting book "In Search of Elvis" edited Dr Vernon Chadwick the founder of the "International Conference on Elvis Presley" at Mississippi University 1995.

I met Vernon in Oxford Mississippi September 1999 he is quite an authority on Elvis Presley. A true scholar. Vernon kindly drove us to Tupelo and back to Memphis, all the time filling us in on why he started the Elvis Conference and he told us how he had DISCOVERED Elvis in Europe!

His fascinating book is well worth aquiring.

I like the one I bought at a Flea Market...I paid 15 dollars for it......:P

It is a picture form 1970. The one that is one the video box of TTWII close up shot of him wearing a blue shirt. That picture is also used on Welcome To My World.:)

I dont wish to sound big headed or conceited but I love my own drawings as much as many of the great ones already shown, but if you was to go to the forum "other artwork" you would find some great artwork by some very talented artists already on this site, well worth the visit

I'd forgotten about this "other artwork". Usually, I don't have a whole lot of time to spend on any site. But, I really want to see all these . Thanks to all the great artists and their contributions. It's always amazing to me the talent some have . It's always a privilege to view beauty in this world! (y) :notworthy

Here some nice paintings which where haning in the Vernon house in Memphis during Elvis week 2004.

Hey those are wonderful, thanks for posting.

When I went to Graceland, I didn't take the tour of Vernon's house, dont even recall seeing it :blink: But was only 13 at the time, a long 7 years ago. :blush:

But I do remember seeing many beautiful portraits of Elvis (paintings) in the trophy room, some with him and Lisa etc. Here is one I found that I thought I would share (y)
