Which era do you think he had his best style/looks?

I think the 70s was his best.

Custom made clothes and jumpsuits
His hair and sideburns
Custom made sunglasses
His voice and music was also the best in my opinion

Anyway, I agree with you bogarcon...his best period for look and style is 1969-1971...more mature and sooo sexy!:king:

he was so so so beautiful in the 50s. drop dead gorgeous. however, i've always had a soft spot for the year 1970. in ttwii, he is probably, in my opinion, the handsomest in his life. however, i think i prefer his look in the 50s to his overall appearence in the 70s, so i might be persuaded to vote for the 50s. why isn't there an option for 1970!?! :)

I liked his look from 69-73. I wish it would've continued into the 80's!! He went from looking so great in the early 70's.....to looking so OLD within a matter of 2-3 years! Just a sad thing!

I have a dual answer. I think when he got out of the army in 1960 he looked as fit and trim as he ever was-healthy. His cheek bones stood out like sharp edges. Also in 1969 he once again was in that type of shape with great new sideburns, more modern hairstyle, great clothes which fit like a glove. IMO he looked the best these two years. Not that he looked shabby in any other year (except 1977) He just looked healthiest in 60 and 69 I think.

I voted for "The 70's", but am really on the fence between the late 60's and the 70's....

So I'll clarify my answer and say '69 - '75!!! ;)

I voted for the 50s. Most of people knows the-70s-Elvis, leaving behind that amazing era of a young Elvis Presley. I love the style of :king: by then. He looked cute when he was 21-24... A sexy rock'n'roller. That was the man I fell in love at six yearls old. :whistling
Anyway, I think Elvis was extremely handsome all his life. My favorite era may be the 50s, but from 68-74, the "king" was in an excellent shape. And about 60s... the same thing.
Elvis is the most handsome, sexy (and more) man of the universe. :D

I don't have any spescial opinion of which area Elvis looks best in.

But i really like the movie years. It's so exclusive to see Elvis in the movies. I haven't seen many movies, but when i see a movie, Elvis make me happy. You know, he looks so good and he's a great acter. When Elvis begin to sing a song in a movie, i bee so glad. The 60's movies is so exclusive. If the movie isn't any serious film, i don't care. I just want to see Elvis. I just want to see the man

Of course, i love Elvis from his comeback special and all the fantastic Vegas year!

Many Elvis fans really like the last year of the 70's, but have you ever wondered what Elvis was thinking? Do you think it is fun to bee on a hospital and all the press-people just want to hang you out? It's not cool that other people make a own opinion about your future. It's not cool to be fat, it's not cool to eat hamburgers every day, it's not cool to take drugs, but when all the people in the world want to see you on stage, you have to make a good feeling with yourself.
If you don't trust me, try self to work all the night and day and never take a break!

Elvis looks fantastic in the 68 special....also in the movies 'A Trouble With Girls' and Fun In Acopulco...... :!:
The biggest misconception about him is that he was overweight for the Jan Hawaii 73 special, but infact he looked really trim and well.....:notworthy

Especially in 1972? I can understand a vote for the 70s if talking about 1970 or even the brief part of 1973 when he looked his best (ie Aloha), but no other time really. I can't imagine how anyone can look at Elvis on Tour and That's the Way It Is and think he looks better in the former.

I believe his looks and his voice was best in the 70's. I grew up with Elis since my older sister( by 12 years) was already a fan when I was five,so I beagn to listen in the early 60's, but discovered him on my own in 69-70, when I turned 13 in 1970!
As an adult, I then aprreciated him more later in his life becasue then he was a handsome "boy- or young man- I thought his looks and his voice and personality matured in the 70's.:king:

Elvis was devastatingly handsome in the 50s. So elegantly smart on arriving home from the army in uniform. Magnificent in aloha............but Maurice, you are a male:-)

Maybe we should consider the choice of image for the Elvis stamp:P

But Elvis, as depicted by the artist, was not as young looking as he should have been on the stamp!

Whenever I watch the August 4, 1970 rehearsal film I'm always struck by how beautiful Elvis was (and I'm not gay or anything, but that's just the best way to describe him). The best camera angle is the taking the close-ups on the right hand side (Elvis' left). In my opinion I don't think he ever looked better.

I liked Elvis' look as he grew older. The reason being, he was more settled, and I like older men, when it comes to Elvis. Well, he is my type, anyway, always has been. Elvis is wiser, knows who he is, knows about women, has already been through what younger men are going through. I love his character lines, his worldliness, his intelligence, his warmth.

i voted the 1970s, but i'd like to specify...

his looks (face, hair, sideburns and clothes) during early 1969 and into 1970-71 he was too good to be true, but in my opinion a little too slim. i don't mind a little padding on the guys :D (who can not like this: http://www.tcb-world.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=30442&c=33 :P )

his body type ca 1973/74/75 - aloha from hawaii - wow! (y)

and his voice throughout the late 70's. i think it grew better and better.

so - i'd go with a combination of the above

I had a friend {female} that talked me into going to see Elvis in the '60's in one of his movies .
I thought he was the skinniest boy I'd ever seen and never could understand what she saw in him.
When I saw him again in the '70's and heard him sing--that was a turning point for me. So, the '70's would have to be the time he looked and sounded the best to me.

He was still absolutely stunning to look at!(y)(y) And.....I got a kiss in August of 73. Absolutely would take your breath away!!!

Well, ya know, some of us weren't as lucky you were to have seen several times AND get a few smooches from him. Truth be known, I'm not old enough to have seen him in Vegas (I was a child when he died), so I'll have to take you on your word that he was absolutely stunning!!!!! Some women have all the luck!!!!!!!!!!!! :P:P:P:P:P:P I envy you!!!!!!!

He always looked great - but of course had some special periods of his life when he was at his best. In my opinion 1957-1961, and then again in 1968-1971.

He looked really beautiful in 1968, especially in the Comeback Special. He looked so great in that black leather suit!! I think he also looked great in 1973 on the "Aloha From Hawaii" concert, especially on the rehearsal concert. But my absolute favourite era is 1970. He looked soo gorgeous in TTWII.:wub::wub: He was 35 years old, but soo thin and so energetic, like a 20 year-old young guy. I think he was in his top form physically in that time.

:clap::clap::wub::wub::wub:Altough,Elvis was sexy all the time!;)

I think Elvis always looked cool. The only time I didn't like his look was probably during the March 1976 tour with the bangs of his hair cut really short...and also around 1965...during the making of Clambake..didn't like that to well...

These polls need to be multiple choice!!!!!! Each era he was irresistible -- I love the 50's look in "King Creole", I love the crew cut (I am partial to military men!), my favorite 'movie' look was "It Happened at the World's Fair", he was HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!! in black leather *need another shower*, he was very sexy in 1969, he was irresistible in TTWII, he very regal and quite handsome for "Aloha from Hawaii".

I have voted for the 70´though in them 50´was wonderful, his style, his voice even for molding,it was a diamond in brute, but in them 68´.70´, to be more ripely in his music and with a voice more powerful.

The 1969 - 1970 period he looked his best......much better than in 1972 while they where filming "On Tour" His absolute highlight was the Aloha special from 1973......everything was top during that concert.

You know what, I have never been able to decide this for myself!!! I pick the 50's because Elvis in Loving You is just so raw and rock 'n roll; but then I think no, how can you top that lazy cheeky cool he has in Live a Little Love A Little, so I pick the 60's; but then I remember him looking sooooooo magnificent in the Eagle Suit and so I pick the 70's!!! But really?? I can't pick!!! He was just one fine looking man who exuded style no matter what era!
