Hi to all,

just wondering if anyone owns the Japanese paper sleeve collection of 30 cds, and are they worth the price to buy, I need some insight on them, thanks, Al

I only own one of those, Elvis first album, the sound is superb by far better than any BMG release of that material, and the paper sleeve thing is pretty cool, so if you dont have any of the original Elvis albums released on cd by BMG/RCA is probably a good choice to get the Japanese versions instead of the ordinary thing, of course the BMG releases have extra tracks but, you may get those extra songs somewhere else.

I own several of these CD's also. I agree the sound is superior and the art work is identical to the orignal issued LP's. Money well spent for Elvis music. (y)

Thanks Guys,

I own most of the BMG releases, just curious, as I really love the original album look and I hear the sound is fantastic, if anyone else has some insight, I'd appreciate it, as they are really expensive, and I, of course, would want them all! AL

I have Elvis In Concert. It really has a much brighter sound to it and yes, its being a mini-LP is pretty cool. I got mine for less than the price of an FTD, as I recall.

One that I have heard as having really superior sound is Raised On Rock. Some site that sells them (or used to) had samples you could listen to, and even in mp3 format, the difference was very noticeable.

I just wonder why they can't make all Elvis releases sound that good.
