I would say ``stay away joe`` because it was the first movie that I saw in a drive-in in 1970 at 13 years old. This movie is pressed in my kid souvenirs.

I would go for "Live A Little, Love A Little", because of the "Edge Of Reality" scene. They should release this one as a video clip and show it on MTV.

Stay Away Joe because Elvis played a little bit of a scamp-which was a step away form the usual "good guy"role. The co-stars were great and it had some funny moments.

Live a Little, Love a Little is a  movie. I like it very much... and Stay Away Joe is nice too. Katy Jurado acted with Elvis there. :) So, both movies seems to be really good. :P

I'd have to say Stay Away Joe because at the time it was so different from the type of movies he was doing.

I like both of them although they have never been translated in my language (italian) and I had to watch them in the original version!:'(

Anyway...they're very funny, different from the others he made in the sixties and Elvis looked very handsome in both the films....but to me especially in "Stay Away Joe"...maybe because of the tan!
In all his last movies he was in perfect form...you can see it also in "Charro" or "The Troubles With Girls"....
The funny thing is that in both the films he seems to have troubles not only with girls but also with animals.......:lmfao: :lmfao: the scenes with the dog Albert or the bull were super...:lmfao:

Totally agree lior...I absolutely love that song, not only because of Elvis singing the theme of Greensleeves but also because of the beautiful images of the movie...wonderful...that song always gives me a great sense of freedom!(y)

"Stay Away, Joe" and "Live A Little, Love A Little" both fit into the category of the beginning of Elvis' departure from his formula 'cotton-candy' type of movie.

I would say that "Stay Away" is probably the more out and out comedy of the two, "Live A Little" represented a definite change of style for Elvis in the movies as this film is always classed as his first 'adult' type of role.

Nevertheless, I would opt for "Live A Little, Love A Little" because I thought it was a good departure from the norm for EP and I first saw this movie in a unique kind of setting - a video copy on a portable TV in Rex Martin's former 'Elvis Memories' Shop in Blackpool, Lancashire in August of 1982. The movie didn't get it's official UK TV Premiere until May,1986 on BBC2. I don't think it was officially released on video until 1987/88 (?)...or was that even 1985/86?...infact, did it just go straight to UK Video before it's first Television screening??

Ultimately, both movies are better than the likes of "Harum Scarum" & "Clambake"!
