Yep I saw it.
Basically saying the same sort of thing thats in the book The death of Elvis what really happened. The old valsalva manouver theory.
I dont know why they bother making programs like this to be honest, all this stuff has been in tons of books. It did explain it better wiv the graphics I spose.
I couldnt beleive how old Dr Nick looked tho :-O

Yes I saw it....... I have to say they ran over the same old ground, I find it hard to believe that given Elvis' health problems I am surprised he found the will power to continue touring when he was obviously suffering terribly.
The pictures they demonstrated of a distened colon as being similar to that of Elvis' was horrifying to see, it is little wonder the king could look so bloated and then thin within days.
Taking away the need for this programme to shock and be dramatic it provided a good insight to what was happening to Elvis medically. How Elvis summoned up the stamina took great courage.
The programme also commented that Elvis' weight problems were linked to his medical condition and was exaserbated by poor diet and eating habits.
They only part the I found unbelievable is Dr. Nicks apparent shock at Elvis' death! I can only put this down to him having gained more knowledge after Elvis' death, surely as Elvis' doctor he should have been fully aware of Elvis poor medical condition?
All said and done it wasn't the usual give Elvis a kicking and more of an imparcial overview with the need to give Joe public some staged reconstructions that will never sit right with the real fans.

i just saw the programme... i agree with what's been said before about dr nick being old and the amazement of elvis' death. however, i really didn't enjoy this programme. at times i felt they didn't portray him very well and they were ofren really going for a shock factor. the bit about the colon was very shocking and sad and i suppose it did give a good insight into elvis' problems. i thought the end comment was true- how the only good thing that came out of elvis' premature death was the fact that we see elvis as he was... he remains beautiful and young for eternity. anyway, am beginning to rant. i recorded the programme and am trying to decide whether to keep it cos although interesting it's not really something i want to watch again- id rather see elvis in a more positive light rather than a programme trying to get money out of making elvis' death shocking and dramatic.
