In a lot of the fifties film we see, there's actually no sound. In this particular concert, March 31/1957 in Detroit Michigan, (a city which till this day is known for their outstanding fans as far as concerts go) not only was Elvis filmed, there is sound. The electricity was incredible and there is a reporter covering the show as it's going on. For a glimpse of Elvis mania, watch this clip.

Thank you for this website, this sure did bring back memories for me! :D That's the way it was, so much pandemonium! When I saw Love Me Tender at the movies it was the same. You could not hear the movie for all the sreaming! It was the most exciting time back in the 50's with Elvis!
Thanks again,
Tommy :) :cold:

Joe:
The footage wasn't actually filmed with sound, it was silent! I've added sound from the actual concert from a 1957 radio show called "Man or Menace"
Glad you liked it, and that it was new to you
