"Strong Selection"
Reviewed by Wallace Holmes

At last ! - an outtake of the higly under-rated " Kiss Me Quick ", featured amongst 23 excellent selections of outtakes from 1961 to 1963. Most of the original masters can be found on the "Pot Luck" remaster album.

AS always, Elvis is very much in charge as he and his studio musicians enjoy themselves in preparing for the final masters. This very good FTD release is extremely enjoyable in listening to outtakes of favourites including, "His Latest Flame"; "Just tell her Jim said Hello"; "Ask Me"; "Memphis Tennessee" and the always blistering "Little Sister".
Another strong selection from the FTD Team

I have heard and love almost all of the released versions of these tracks, so to see an FTD release with outtakes showing each song's progression.....makes my mouth water, my heart beat a bit faster. I was so pleased with the two FTD CDs I do own, (see comment in thread about FTD #8), and I look forward to hopefully being able to attain this one soon. I'd rate it, but I can't rate what I don't own.
