The bandaid in Elvis's hand [Archive]

Here are a couple of pictures were Elvis is wearing a bandaid in his left hand.Does anyone knows why?Im sure he had a big cut or something(duh)but does anyone knows what happend to our boy?:(

I could be wrong but I believed Elvis used the band aids so his rings would not fall of or the fans try to take them. But also so they would not cut his fingers that the rings were not on.Hope this helps;)

Notice that the bandaid is around his right hand.It was like that for awhile.I know about the bandaids and the rings.So,I need more help:) Thank you dear!Keep asking around for me.will you?I m doing the same.:)

Think so too, and as you see, all the pics are from 74, always think that year E was obsessed with karate....

Elvis injured his right hand during the shooting for the karate documentairy "The New Gladiators" he was working on. If you look closely at the pictures taken during the karate scenes you'll see his right hand had all ballooned up. It also got infected along the way. That's why he took heavy medication just before the tour started which resulted in a couple of bad performances.

When my dad escorted him to a football game in Memphis in 1974 (not sure of the month) He got a chance to spend a couple of hours talking to him and Elvis showed him some pretty serious scars on his hands and he told my dad that they were from the fans.
