who in your opinion out of all the celebritys that have played the king, who was the best? although NO ONE can replace the legend of elvis, who came close to reinacting his life perfectly, well not perfectly but, who did the best job?

Personally, I liked Kurt Russell portraying Elvis in the 1979 miniseries. I think that he did a decent job on that one. I also liked seeing Michael St. Gerard in the 1990 miniseries of the early years of Elvis. Great question... I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone's response will be. :)

Kurt Russell is the only one to come close at all. And he wasn't perfect!!!

Although I like Kurt Russell as an actor and also respect him as being a genuine Elvis fan I hated him as Elvis. He didn't look like him (wrong jaws-wrong eyes) and the movie stank all the way up to high heaven.

But I really think Michael St. Gerard did a good job.
