after Elvis (of course) Robbie is my favourite singer, he has a song on his new album called Advertising Space, which is about Elvis (he is a huge fan)

Lyrics "Advertising space"

There's no earthly way of knowing
What was in your heart
When it stopped going
The whole world shook
A storm was blowing through you

Waiting for God to stop this
And up to your neck in darkness
Everyone around you was corrupted
Saying somethin'

There's no dignity in death
To sell the world your last breath
They're still fighting over
Everything you left over

I saw you standing at the gates
When Marlon Brando passed away
You had that look upon your face
Advertising space

And
No one learned from your mistakes
We let our profit s go to waste
All that's left in any case
Is Advertising space

Through your eyes
The world was burning
Please be gentle
I'm still learning
You seemed to say
As you kept turning up

They poisoned you with compromise
At what point did you realise
Everybody loves your life
But you ahahh

Special agent for the man
Through watergate and vietnam
No one really gave a ****
Did you think the CIA did

I saw you standing at the gates
When Marlon Brando passed away
You had that look upon your face
Advertising space

And
No one learned from your mistake
We let our profits go to waste
All that's left in any case
Is Advertising space ooooohh

I saw you standing at the gates
When Marlon Brando passed away
You had that look upon your face
Advertising space

No one learned from your mistakes
We let our profits go to waste
All that's left in any case
Is Advertising space

I've seen your daughter
Man she's cute
I was scared but I wanted to
Boy she looks a lot like you

This is probably not the right time to say I dislike robbie Willams with a passion, although finding out he is an Elvis fan makes him a litttle better in my estimation although he still is "The fat dancer from Take That" :lmfao:

I really have a dislike for Robbie Williams.. I don't like his image and the way he expresses himself on stage. It's so "see how great I am".....

But I really enjoy his music and find him a great performer. He really stands out between nowadays music. If only he was a little less full of himself.

At what point did you realise
Everybody loves your life
But you

Wow, this part gave me chills down my spine. Great work on the lyrics, one of the best "flowing" songs about Elvis. Usually people have something to say but they don't get it to sound good.

I have always liked Robbie as a performer but had some difficulties to appreciate him as "a man". He always seems too cooky. But I am starting to get passed that too. He has a fantastic voice and fantastic songs. This is one more example of that!!

I don't really know what to think of Robbie. He's an enfant terrible (in my perception) and I don't like the 'look how great I am'- attitude.

I don't think he's a bad performer, but I don't really like his voice.

Of course my opinion is relative and subjective - I'll just make sure that I practice my own singing. Maybe I'm just a little less rough than Robbie..!

One of my favorites to sing is 'Crying' (by Roy Orbison). Of course Billy Gilman also likes this song, now he's a modern singer I do like! I also think he's more handsome than Robbie is.

I'd like to note that although I don't know what to think of Robbie and his music, it is rather cool that he likes Elvis! I appreciatie that.

I think Robbie Williams is very handsome. Sweet & daring eyes at the same time. His music style is cool to me, except when his songs gets a bit dark (what about his last single/video?). I loved the retro style he used before. Was nice. Anyway, Mr. Williams is a rebel and a great Elvis fan, so I'm with him! (y)

Oh my goodness... there's just so much diversity on this planet.

There are people who think Robbie is handsome. I can't imagine why, he's just.. hairy..!

No, I would choose something that's soft and refined, instead (I hereby mention my earlier post on Billy G.). I find Williams to be too rough and square-faced.

But there are a lot of preferences, so it's rather relative and subjective.

There are people who think Roy Orbison was handsome, while others think otherwise.

As far as Elvis is concerned: when you've had that much man... you're a happy woman..!
