Hi Guys,
I was just listening to the 2-CD set, 'Sunrise' and noticed that there appears to be a somewhat different alternate take of "I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone" or "My Baby's Gone" if you will...it's track 11 on Disc Two and it is not marked as previously unreleased, but Elvis' vocal phrasing and some of Scotty's guitar backing appears to be somewhat different to the take that had appeared on a number of bootlegs and finally saw official light of day on the 6-LP Box Set "A Golden Celebration". So, guys, am I missing something here? Is this take of "My Baby's Gone" a previously unreleased take even though it doesn't state that on the cover?
Plus, the live songs from '55 that were taken from an acetate - can we presume that these are all 'Louisiana Hayride' performances?
Cheers,
NEA.
