Graceland

Has anybody ever visited Graceland. I did over the summer, I liked it alot!!! My wife thought it was smaller than she thought it would be! I thought it was wonderful!!! What do you guys think?

Well, I just submitted my poem that is "set" in Graceland...

...but I've never actually been.

I was chuffed with myself when I located Graceland using Google Earth the other day - and then tracked across to my own house. The world is such a small place. Does that count? :D

Seriously, a recurring theme I hear of is the size of Graceland - or lack thereof. Although the house has acres and acres of land attached to it, the size of the house is surprising yet a potent testament to Elvis' humility. Granted, times were different back then and Elvis did have other properties... but how many celebs would settle for something that size today? Moreover, how many celebs would settle for something that size and have relative/friends living there on all manner of bases (some temporary, some permanent)? Quite remarkable.

Elvis said he could of had houses bigger than Graceland, but never a bigger home than Graceland. I think it sums up Graceland, it was his home, and I think he was really atatched due to it being Gladys' s last home also.

Yes, I've been through Graceland a few times, I want to go back again some day.
