Just thinking now, How the '68 comeback special, TTWII, and Elvis On TOur, should have been, I think they could have been presented in such a better way...

Lots of great moments of the '68 tv special necer aired, somehow Phil Spector saw the original uncut print and latter when he saw what it aired in Tv get mad about how they simply ruined -they leave out what was really elvis- or something like that he said. We know that TTWII could have been a much smarter movie, why all those interviews with the zoombies? and the camara spending too much time shooting the old women in the audience, vegas audience was creepy. THe upgraded version TTWII is O.K. but the editing look a little bit like something edited in the eighties they ruined the '70 flavor.

Elvis on Tour need minor changes compared with the other documentary, but still could have been better...

TTWII SE, as a doco, is presented brilliantly, except for the left over choices, it is frigging brilliant in presentation, and the packaging, its all deluxe. we need the same for EOT. come on!

The original TTWII was a Doco. The SE is nothing more than a bunch of performance clips edited together. I don't care for it.

Part of the documentary footage was to show how , special, Elvis was to his fans
I'm not sure if it did that, in some ways it just made his fans seem kooks. Maybe if they had just used a few comments instead of going overboard. The hotel preparing for his appearance showed how much had to be done when he was there. At this time "no one" drew in people like he did. Newton, Jones, Sinatra no one. It was truely unbelievable. So they tried to show it in the movie. I think hes the only one to sell out every time he played there from 69 on. Probably the Director Denis Sanders(who knew little of Elvis and his fans) was so suprised by what he was seeing he tried to capture it the best he could.
