What do you think about. Lets forget about the stars.
I really think its a very underrated song To me it sounds like a hit song.
One of the most beautiful songs ever i think.

Its my favorite Elvis song of all time. I?ve only heard it on a old Lp record.
And i really would like to have it on cd. Hope Ernst and the other guys
on the Follow that dream label will relaese it on a FTD sometime in the future.

:D :D  :king:

It's indeed a very underrated song but it is on CD. On the "Double Feature - Live a Little, Love a Little/The Trouble With Girls/Charro!"

Nice song Glenn...but I'm glad it was cut from "Charro"...it does appear to stand well on its own...and, yes very underrated.

Cheers,

NEA.

It's been discussed before how it's a shame we don't have movie outtakes included as bonus features on the Elvis movie DVDs, and most likely, nearly all were destroyed. Or that seems to be conventional wisdom anyway.

But there is a so-called "nude scene" which was cut from Charro and is found on some import videos. All it really amounted to was a shot of Ina Balin's posterior as she got out of the bathtub. It is notweworthy though, both for being a rare movie outtake and for the fact that such a scene was filmed for an Elvis movie.

I bring this up now because in the video they play the song Let's Forget About The Stars during that scene, although I think that's just the way the video was put together.

It seems to me that the song would have fit nicely somewhere into Live A Little, Love A Little.

I AGREE WITH YOU 100% GLENN!!!

It is DEFINITELY one of Elvis' most beautiful and underrated ballads! Even today when I listen to it, I find it hard to believe that such a beautiful song was even considered for inclusion in a dramatic film like CHARRO!!! In my opinion, it certainly would have been out of place in the film and as Bobby (Lonniebealestreet) said, it would have made much more sense to include LET'S FORGET ABOUT THE STARS in one of Elvis' other films from around the same time like LIVE A LITTLE LOVE A LITTLE, CHANGE OF HABIT or THE TROUBLE WITH GIRLS!

EXCELLENT TASTE GLENN!!
TCB!
