Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd give a mention to mark the 28th Anniversary of Elvis' Final Concert at the Market Square Arena, Indianapolis, Indianna - June 26th, 1977.

It was also on this day two years later - June 26th, 1979 that Elvis' Father, Vernon sadly passed away.

Anybody got any photos from Elvis' Final show that they can upload in this thread?

Plus, has anybody got any photos of Vernon they can upload?

Cheers Guys,

NEA.

At 8:30pm before a sold-out 18,000 strong crowd at Indianapolis' Market Square Arena on June 26th, 1977 Elvis performed the final show on his current tour and what sadly turned out to be the final show ever in his life.

Elvis wore his beloved Mexican Sundial Suit and the following set-list made up the overall final concert:

Also Sprach Zarathustra
See See Rider
I Got A Woman/Amen
Love Me
Fairytale
You Gave Me A Mountain
Jailhouse Rock
It's Now Or Never
Little Sister
TeddyBear/Don't Be Cruel
Please Release Me
I Can't Stop Loving You
Bridge Over Troubled Water
[band introductions]
Early Morning Rain
What'd I Say
Johnny B. Goode
I Really Don't Want To Know
Hurt
Hound dog
Can't Help Falling In Love
Closing vamp

Maybe come the 30th Anniversary of this concert we will all have our very own copies to listen to on a Follow That Dream CD release?

Who knows....

His vocal on Bridge Over Troubled Water is worth owning this for. Although it is an audience recording, his performance is stunning! I'll sometimes put it on just for that track.

I got a picture of Vernon and Lisa taken a few days after Elvis died. It was taken in front of Vernon's home. I will post it up on here later on.

Hey Tommy.

It's called " Adios - The Final concert" and it's a bootleg audience recording. There is also a fairly decent bootleg 8mm video of this concert. I like the end of the video. he sort of hangs out a bit like he doesn't want to leave. Anyway, I got both of these on ebay about a year ago. Hope this helps.

Ok, like I promise. Here is a picture taken in front of Vernon's home just after Elvis passed away. Now you really can't really tell but in the back seat of his car is Lisa Marie. I hope you like it. I put the web address to my forum over the picture so sorry about that.

This comes from Jordan's World which is also an awesome web site. Click on "Elvis Library" at the top for more great stuff.

Check this web site out for info on Market Square Arena (venue for Elvis' last concert in Indianapolis). Scroll down for info on Elvis and scroll down to the bottom for video of the implosion of the arena.

A marker stands near the place that tells that it is the site of Elvis' last concert.
