Been listening on AOL to the follow up to "Guilty" called "Guilty Pleasures". I must say it took a few turns before I started getting into it, but once you're hooked, you're hooked. Mighty fine, wonderfully light stuff, IMO.

There's also " Suspicious Minds" a two cd set that has all the album songs plus alot of outtakes and alternate versions, I love this cd. He did some of his very best work, in my opinion, during these Memphis sessions. I mean, how can you argue with an album that contains hits like "Suspicious Minds", "Kentucky Rain", " In the Ghetto", " Don't Cry Daddy" and many others. Wow, that's like a greatest hits in one recording session! He was truly amazing!:notworthy :notworthy :notworthy
If you really think about it, it boggles the mind how effortlessly he could do it when he wanted to. He could even take a mediocre song and make it fantastic. (Listen to some original versions of some of the songs he sang like "Steamroller Blues" for instance)

I have that CD box too and it's absolutely fantastic...I love all the outtakes and alternate versions, especially those of "In The Ghetto"...I can hear him breathing and it seems he's next to me singing....:blush: !!!

It was a great recording session for Elvis....yes, he could make a "not so special" song a BIG HIT...(y) this is the reason why I hate listening people complaing about his success since he didn't write his songs...he could take a song and "create" it again as he felt it...
