Can anyone tell me what CD the song "Just Pretend" is on? I saw him perform it on Elvis - That's the Way It Is and he was awesome at that song! But it's not like he's not awesome at any other song b/c he DEFINITELY is!!! I would like to know where I could listen to this song. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks! Elvis said it's on one of his country albums (if that helps to find it). Thanks again. :)

I've got the studio-version of Just Pretend on the CD "Elvis - That's The Way It Is" (front cover: attached picture) I think it's the cd version of the LP soundtrack that was brought out during the TTWII film recording?
In my opinion it sounds as good as the live version on the DVD TTWII (allmost the same, only without the audience)

Tracklist:
1. I Just Can Help Believin' (live)
2. Twenty Days and Twenty Nights
3. How the Web Was Woven
4. Patch It Up (live)
5. Mary in the Morning
6. You Don't Have to Say You Love Me
7. You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' (live)
8. I've Lost You
9. Just Pretend
10. Stranger in the Crowd
11. The Next Step Is Love
12. Bridge Over Troubled Water (live)

The sound quality is very good also on the live songs (soundboard)
Check: http://www.mp3.com/albums/59436/summary.html to listen to examples.

(There's also a newer version (special edition) of this cd avalable:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004TZCI/103-5248084-2057449?v=glance

Btw I've got feeling that the applause on the so called live version of Bridge Over Troubled Water has been edited later to the recording. It creates a nice atmosphere but it sounds quite fake/later-edited I think. As if they used a studio version and pasted an applause behind it. During the entire song it's absolutly quit and then al of a sudden an applause fades in ;)

Thank you so much!!! You're awesome! I hope they sell that CD at Best Buy, hehe! I'll check out those sites as well. Thanks again! :)

You're welcome :king:
(Especially the special edition is easy to find (on the net) by just searching for "That's The Way It Is cd" at Google)
Hope you'll find the cd. I've purchased it recently myself, I saw it at the Elvis section of a cd-shop, forgotten, behind a lot of newer Elvis-releases (it even was on sale:D). I'm very glad that I've got it. Great songs! Played it many times. I later found out about the special edition. Off course now after that special edition, but at the moment I don't have the money for cd's, first got to get my drivers license (quite expensive for a student here in The Netherlands;) )

Wow!!! You live all the way in the Netherlands, thats so far away from here (Texas). Cool! Well thanks for the advice. I'm constantly looking for good CDs and DVDs of Elvis. For instance, I just got back from lunch and I went to Best Buy to buy the Elvis - Aloha from Hawaii DVD, but they didn't have it. Dang it! Grrr...they better have it on Friday when I go back to get it! Hehe! Anyways...thanks again! I'm truly grateful. :notworthy

This song is brilliant! There were so many gems recorded by EP, that only us fans know about.

"Just Pretend" is one of my favorites. If you buy the 3-CD TTWII, you'll have the studio version and the live version! I like it in any incarnation. I'm also glad he revistited the song in 1975! It must have been special to him.
