I was bought this DVD for my birthday last week and it was really sad :'( although it was a lovely gift bought by my husband I do not think I will ever watch it again. Even when it had finished both my husband and 13 yr old daughter said that was sad,I had to leave the room since I was so close to tears it really choked me:'( It did not change the way I think of Elvis but it did enlighten me and shows that no matter how big and famous we are we are all human.

love and peace,
Susan.

I first caught 'Elvis The Final Chapter' when it was broadcast on the VH1 music channel back in 2001, and eventually picked it up on disc when it came out.

It has been a long time since I last played it but I recall it does feature a few somewhat more graphic details than some documentaries that cover the subject. The interviews with both Joe Esposito and Shiela Ryan are of interest.

However, the production could certainly have done without the (thankfully infrequent) reenactment segments which to me only served to detract from the actual content.

Worth checking out on the whole I guess.

Well, I am not gonna buy it than! :'(

I was also thinking about the final chapter in a lot of Elvis photobooks, always that last chapter about his funeral and the mourning.... I wish the story just stopped. Right there.... Please put great pics of the man alive in that space, in stead of that "final chapter"....
