DISCLAIMER #The title of this post makes it clear that this topic concerns an Elvis Tribute Artist / impersonator / stylist / illusionist. So with that being said, I will assume that those members of this board who are clearly ETA haters will not have clicked on this topic and will of course not be reading this.

So those of us who embrace all of Elvis' wonderful fans in the spirit of the King can enjoy this topic without having any sneering and / or hateful comments posted here.

Now that we know the haters will NOT have clicked here because well.....they are haters, let's get on and enjoy the topic:

Great result for the Brits!

Gordon Elvis has won the crown at the Birmingham Elvis convention / contest.

Held on the 4th 5th 6th JANUARY 2013 at THE HILTON BIRMINGHAM METROPOLE, this contest just gets bigger every year with a record attendance for this year.

Congratulations Gordon!

Star of this years convention was 6-year old John Paul who went down a storm with his Elvis act. This young ETA has a great career ahead of him!

Cute but I don't remember Elvis wearing Converse on stage. LOL It is good to see young kids like this that love Elvis, it warms my heart.

I dont support ETA's per-se...however I do 'follow' Andy Wood who lives near me. He's a really cool guy....and a huge, very knowledgeable Elvis fan. He was one of the judges in Birmingham

I've heard that Andy is a superb ETA & held in high regard by all who have met him.

It's a real shame that there is a culture among some of the members on this otherwise excellent forum of nastiness and even sometimes borderline hatred towards all ETAs.

everyone to their own I guess....wouldnt do for us all to be into the same thing.

I understand some people think ETA's don't do Elvis' legacy any good.....altough I don't follow them all myself, as long as they are respectful to his memory I don't have a problem.

It's definately not my thing, but I'm not going to slate people that get a huge amount of enjoyment out of it. I watched a clip of this and everyone there obviously enjoyed it, which is the whole point. Had this been posted elsewhere, I would imagine it would've been bombarded with abuse. Do your thing JR and if you enjoy it, share it.
