Very funny!

I know she doesn't pretend to be a singer but that is hideous. I guess since Elvis could sing and Lisa can sing she thinks she should be able to. I'm embarrassed for her.

Good for her, it takes huge elephant balls to get up on stage and sing when you know it's not your strong suit. She is still much better at singing than me and I have a really great singing voice ;). Hopefully she is enjoying her time during panto season.

This is not funny.
I have a sense of humor but at the moment I would have to be a Benny Hill to smile. Brrrrrr:doh:

The Horror! lol

But hey, this is all meant as a big joke by her, there is no ambition behind that, or is it?

No harm done if she's only kidding.

she wasn't being serious. I applaud her for doing this not an easy thing to do get up sing in fornt of peopel if you know you're not a singer. Maybe our English friends on here can help but isn't most pantomine about having fun

I've seen a you-tube clip of her taken by one of my friends. I'm not a fan of Cilla by any means, but I think she did as reasonable job as she could considering she's not a singer. Reviews have been good generally.

Panto is supposed to be fun.....when she was interviewed on Breakfast TV, she said she was looking forward to, and expecting to get 'boooooed'

For my part I couldn't watch the whole thing...sorry, I thought it was awful and typically pretentious.

I thought it was pretty good considering she's not a professional singer.

She sings better than Lisa Marie Presley does.

Priscilla always been pretentious. Her behavior, dress ..
It is unnatural, artificial, mannered.

I agree Diane. It just proved it was his song, not any other's, not even Priscilla's. I don't understand why she needed to do this.

You are lucky Brian, I can not hear almost certainly her voice.

The producers of the play asked her to sing it because of her connection to Elvis so she did.

I think there are situations when it's better to say no.

It truly sickens me that she has based her whole career on the Presley name. I'm not going to sling the mud, but poor Elvis wasn't good enough, but his name has opened a lot of doors for her.

Pantomimes in general are good clean family fun where the audience roots for the good guys and boos the villains. They are very tongue in cheek and any actor/actress or household name that participates is there purely for the fun.

Priscilla didn't sing Trouble to disrespect Elvis in any way, she was there to do a job. She was asked to sing it and she agreed. Please remember panto is supposed to be fun.

Priscilla took this job as an actress and she gets paid.

It's a job for her the producers asked her to do it so she did.

The producers of this play are her boss.

I agree with you Jen, but Pris? (n)
I got the impression that she has no respect for herself:hmm:
No! I can not look at her, it is no longer fun when she needs ;)

Honestly Evi I think this is one thing that has been lost in translation. Pantomimes are fun and the people starring in them send themselves up a bit (make fun of themselves), it really is just lighthearted entertainment and no feelings are supposed to be hurt during it.

We get a few stars from the US every year taking part in pantos because once they "get" what it's about, they genuinely find the whole experience fun. Imagine another actress playing the part Priscilla is and then imagine the alternate actress singing Trouble, no one would find that odd or disrespectful, the producers are just capitalizing on her connection and the song fits the character being trouble for snow white.

:D :D

it's all in all a fun performance (which we see in poor quality). Priscilla does a cool job, for someone who is not a singer to begin with.

Very daring, not a good performance, but that's not the intention at all. She did the right thing.

Thank God some people on here like you are reasonable and can take a joke. She is supposed to be "pretentious" she is playing an evil queen and that is the joke, geez some people need to lighten up. It is kind of like Ursula from "Little Mermaid".
