I have evaluating the various Elvis concerts i have for sound quality, mix quality and Elvis' performance.
My conclusion so far is that the best concert i have found so far is the afternoon performance from the "Prince From Another Planet" set released recently.
Any one else have any opinions or suggestions, or can anyone tell me, will the Aloha shows be given the "legacy' remix treatment anytime soon?

I like the evening performance better. More electric and I think Elvis put more into the songs.

I think both shows are fantastic. I agree that Elvis' voice was better at the evening show but the crowd reaction was better at the afternoon show it being a younger audience. However, I feel that the audience reaction at the beginning of the afternoon show is somewhat lost among the new mix compared to that on the AAITG release.

So, now need to add two shows to my list... the midnight show, Las Vegas Hilton, August 12, 1970, as issued on the TTWII Special Edition 3 disc set, (june 2000,, possibly), closely followed by "One Night In Vegas" FTD which is culled from 3 shows in August 1970.
Next on my listening list is the "Alternate Aloha" CD, this has a much bigger production sound.
Love the lean bass intro to Polk salad... among other things,,,
