My Dad's Elvis pics in the new FTD Release!!!

Yesterday, while at Graceland, I picked up the new FTD release "Another Saturday Night, Shreveport 1975". It caught my interest mainly because my parents attended his evening show in Shreveport on June 7, 1975 and, not having knowlege of the new CD, I noticed the concert was from that same time.

Later, I returned to the hotel room to relax before dinner. I opened the CD to read the insert and check out the artwork... much to my shock and surprise, THE INSERT CONTAINS SIX OF MY DAD'S PICTURES WITH NO CREDIT GIVEN TO HIM!!!

I believe they obtained the photos from here at TCB World because I scanned them out of my Dad's photo album and shared them here in 2009. They're easy to find... just search my username, nabelt24, and they are titled Elvis in Sheveport, La June 1975.

Obviously, I never ever thought that they'd get as far as being added to an actual Elvis album release! LOL! It's cool to see them as part of the collection, BUT, I wish they'd given credit where credit was due!!!

Dad still has the original slides and there's many more pictures where those came from. I spoke with Keith Alverson today about this situation and asked his advice. Unfortunately, he said there's not much I can do. The same has happened to him and he's still not received credit or compensation from them.

As neat as it is to see them in there, this is still very frustrating. Does anyone here at TCB World have advice??? Thanks!!!

it's great that photos taken by your Dad are used but considering how EPE feel about people using Elvis image without permission it would have been the right them to do was to ask you if they could include them. You should contact them and ask them where they obtained these photos as they are photos your Dad took and no one in your family was contacted about using them or was your Dad creited with taking. See what they say the worst that will happen is they'll ignore you.The other possibility is that someone else on sold them to EPE and they are unaware of the situation.

I'm afraid there is very little that can be done, I'm shocked that Ernst hasn't had some input and I would be very disappointed that credit hasn't be given to your father.

Once anything has been uploaded to the internet it unfortunately seems to become public domain. I suppose there could be legal recourse but by the time you have paid for a attorney and taken it through official channels you would have little to gain.

I would still email/write to Ernst and at least get a letter of acknowledgement to prevent further use...
