I went here to, the statue is great. I took many pictures of it and a couple of me reaching up to grab his hand. I could almost picture what it would have been like to reach up and shake his hand. :D

The new statue isn't at the Birthplace Museum grounds. It's in town where Elvis performed that magical concert outside in 1956.

Yes I know. That was a Elvis.com thread.
They have really fixed up the area in Tueplo.

the surrounding area and the park is very tastefully done.....and as a bonus when we went a week last Sunday.......it was empty, got the whole park to ourselves. Only thing is, Johnnies was closed as it was Sunday

We went on Sunday too. Johnnies and Tupelo Hardware was closed too.
