There are some sad parts, Elvis needed so much, to have more real people around him, so difficult in his position.
The portrayal of Elvis meeting Marlon Brando was very funny - I enjoyed reading, thank you!

Nice article, thanks Viva
In 58 Ms. Sheppard met a young man who wanted to be an actor and who was only in his 4th film.the script for King Creole was once meant for James Dean and rewritten for Elvis after Deans death-it was a quality production in which Elvis had great talented co-stars and a great director so Elvis felt he was moving forward as a real honest to goodness actor-his attitudes on set were certainly happier and more open..........................fast forward to "Paradise Hawaiian Style" silly film, weak plot, weak sets, nothing more than a musical set in a colorful local with every excuse to have a song every 10 minutes.....Elvis is no longer moving forward as an actor-he is coasting on shaky direction and scripts....so his attitude is more withdrawn, more introspective more negative.
