Warner Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of six of the King?s popular movies -- It Happened at the World?s Fair, Double Trouble, Speedway, Spinout, Harum Scarum and The Trouble with Girls.

Arriving on 3rd August 2004 with a retail price of $14.97 each all films are remastered in new 16x9 digital transfers, in a format preserving the ?scope? aspect ratio of their original theatrical exhibition, enhanced for widescreen TVs. The DVDs also include an Elvis Presley trailer gallery.

This is fantastic! I've always loved it when products are released as a serie, and these soon-to-be-released dvd's are obviously a set. Great artwork!

And even greater: finally some other Elvis movies released on dvd! I mean, how many times have we seen movies like Blue Hawaii and GI Blues?

I will pre-order them rightaway :)

I like the fact that it's a consistant design. Makes a nice serie :D

(and hey, as Elvisfans.... were used to crappy designs :P )

got that right :bash:

I don't mind the artwork that much....but only because i'm a fan of the old movie posters.

But Unchained is right....you'd think they would have used some imagination (n)

I like the covers, mainly because of the movie poster theme ,which was so much a part of my school life. I used to go stare at the posters announcing the "coming soon" .....

Hey Albert , you really need to tell your server guys to quit being so insistent on getting info from your members everytime a post is submitted. I have kind of stopped posting here simply because I have to shut of my firewall if I have to post and it is not worth the risk and effort to keep switching ....

Hi JB,

There's nothing I can do about it. The server (webhost) has nothing to do with this website (other than providing the connection and webspace). And the messageboard is one of the best and most used mb's available. It works just like mb's like vBulleting and phpbb.

And in order to have the auto-login working, there's a cookie placed on your pc that can 'tell' the website that you=you when you visit this board again. Otherwise you have to login anytime you visit this board and anytime you place a post. Other than that, there's no communication between this website and your pc (the placed cookie is pretty basic).

So if you want me to help you with this 'problem', I need to know more about it (like the error/invasion message that your firewall gives).

THAT IS SOOOO COOL!!!

I've got to say that personally, I like the cover art for these DVD's!! I think it's very original, and as Albert said, it creates continuity and a feeling of these DVD's being a "set"!!

Now, if only all of the movie studios would get together and release ALL of Elvis' movies on DVD using the movie poster artwork!! THAT would be cool!!

TCB!
Mike

But "Viva Las Vegas" has been released in the States and Europe. Otherwise try Ebay instead. There are plenty sellers that are happy to send this DVD worldwide (y)

I don't think my DVD player can play anything that's not PAL or that other NT thing.
I must read the directions one day......
