over the years , since i was 17 i started buying photo books of E.P. as i finally gave up on those rags and tell alls that were redundant and just plain b.s. I have amssed quite a large collection of great photo books and enjoy comming back to them now and again. I can't believe how many are comming out now , almost on a monthly basis , and thankfully most are hardbacks, it sure is a great time being a fan of ELVIS PRESLEY and most of the books yet to be realeased are going to be great additions. So do you still buyphoto books , or do you just wait to see what is available on the net.

i agree both great books , 2 tomes that are worth their weight in gold , i must admit that there were quite a few pics that i have previously seen in other books and orderd snaps from bonja and getty when it comes to the lorentzmen book , but its nice to have housed in one book admitedly.
There is just something about great photo books i enjoy , i wish that they were made available commercialy at your local book store , i wish i could say the same aboutsay the same about most commercial so called photo books , the lot of them just end up publishing the likes of other great books photos years later. I would rather pay a little more and own a book that is done by a fan and knows what we want and includes unpublished photos.

Depends on the photo book... :hmm:

A few years ago, I purchased quite a few photo books but in recent years, have really focused mainly on the FTD books and an occasion book here and there. I recently purchased the KING OF LAS VEGAS book (which is AWESOME!) and am awaiting the arrival of the WELCOME HOME ELVIS FTD. I also have the YOUNG MAN WITH A BIG BEAT set with that great photo book, and luckily I managed to grab a copy of the FINAL CURTAIN set with the awesome book as well!!

The upcoming GRACELAND book from Boxcar is also looking like one I'll have to pick up!! :D

But again, as I said, in my case, it just depends on the photo book... ;)

TCB!

i try to limit myself to books cds and good quality/interesting dvds, i don't vacation or eat out , so this affords me more money to buy more of these and be a completist , and judging by my waistline it's a wise choice. I get satisfaction out of seeing something like ELVIS books , cds for my money , one can only imagine what other great ELVIS photo books are on the horizon.

i will also be getting the bootleg record book , i really can't wait for this tome as it will be a great read and looksy , i do wish that a cd version of a book like this was done or will be in the making soon , for me it would be a dream come true .
