It probably won't happen but would be really cool if somehow EPE and CKX could get Time-Warner, Universal and Twentieth Century Fox (and whoever now owns the General Motors pictures) together to release ALL 33 films digitally remastered and restored in a complete ultimate movie box set for the 35th. Sure it would cost a fortune to produce, restore and for consumers to purchase, but it would be worth investing into, IMO. Elvis' movies aren't all bad, only a handful of them are. But even those bad films draw interest from current life long fans and new fans alike. The majority of his movies were pretty good and deserve better treatment and attention from the general public. Some broke boundaries and technological developments such as Kissin' Cousins. Some crossed racial and political lines such as Flaming Star and Change Of Habit. Some were comedies. Others dramatic and thrilling. Then there's the cult classics like Jailhouse Rock and Viva Las Vegas and Blue Hawaii. He wasn't just a singing cowboy driving a race car singing a dozen songs to girls out of nowhere and I think it's about time the public realize this too. You never know how far something like this could go in earning respect for Elvis as an actor and movie star.

Anyone else think this is a cool idea?(y)

This would be cool but I don't think it will ever happen. I don't see them getting much of their money back. I think only the die hard fans like us would buy it. I would rather see the outtakes of his movies, if they still have the outtakes in the vaults. They probably would never release outtakes because of the cost and return, plus there may not be the image they want to show of Elvis. I could imagine there would be cussing and frustration from Elvis.

Do you remember seeing the scene where Elvis was playing cowboys and Indians with the kids on the monkey bars? I think it was Tickle Me but I might be wrong. He was playing with them and put his finger up to his head like a gun and pulled the trigger. That summed up the movies for me of how Elvis felt. Sorry off the topic but I would like to see a collection like that you mentioned. But I would love to see the outtakes.

Nope probably will never happen, by the time they got finished negotiating on all the if, ans and buts we would all be dead.
Did you mean the National General films when you said National Motors?

Yeah, I didn't mean General Motors. LMAO I don't know where that came from. I'm strongly into automobiles and classic cars lately so I might have been thinking of GM at the time.
