The MRS release 'Such A Night In Honolulu' is a wonderful one. I have just played it in its entirety and it is a great improvement on the original release. The sound is clearer and fuller. The booket is also magnificent and a true document to the tragedy of the Arizona/Pearl Harbour Disaster and Elvis' Concert to raise money for the current memorial.
This release should have been put out by Sony and given maximum publicity. Had this been the case, it could have been put on sale at the Arizona Memorial Shop and other major outlets, including armed forces websites. An great 'sales opportunity' lost.
However, I congratulate Pirzada and Tunzi for this great release and highly recommend it to all Elvis fans. Get it while you can.

Got it and LOVE IT!!!
What a FANTASTIC release, as MRS is now becoming famous for!! As Brian stated, the sound quality is much improved and the booklet just adds to the overall package!! Even without the book, this CD would be outstanding...but add the book, and you have a top notch product for a very reasonable price!! (y)
Kudos to the MRS team for another EXCELLENT release!! Can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves next!! :hmm:

But instead, I bet this August we will see some other Greatest Hits CD, which would basically be a repacking of Elvis 30 #1

My first MRS release was the recent HAYRIDE one and it was FANTASTIC!!! It absolutely blew me away, both the CD quality (considering the age and original quality of the recordings) and the overall packaging!! I'm hooked now...and the SUCH A NIGHT release certainly didn't disappoint either!! ;)
In fact Deb, if you're interested, here's a review I wrote for the HAYRIDE release for our friends at Elvis Australia, just to give you an idea of how good it is:

I highly recommend the MRS releases for all fans, especially given the quality for the money!!! (y)

I recieved the Such A Night In Pearl Harbor cd booklet a few weeks and I am pleased with it. I have not heard the concert before so I can't make the comparisons to the previoulsy released recording of it. The Such A Night cd is a great historical concert recording and the booklet is informative with a copious amount of photos. The book: Elvis King Of Hawaii has many more photos taken of the concert that would have been ideal to enhance this booklet.
Based on reviews of the previous record release of this great concert, I was expecting the sound to be much worse than it actually is. Some parts of songs like It's Now or Never do not comeout as clear and that is unfortunate. This peformance of the song is one of his better renditions and Scotty Moore and Hank Garland's superb guitar riffs are wonderful. Elvis' rendition of Reconsider Babywith Boots Randolph's legendary sax solo is a high
