I only had enough time to work on the cover of an alternate cover for the King Creole DVD. I doubt I'll get any further than this...I wanted to add more to it but it looks cluttered and as always, I made it in black and white. About the only two colors I make anything in. But see below:

Stop putting you designing skills down!!! I think it looks great Stacy!! I especially like the fact that you put the lovers-photo in the back... it gives it a true "love story"-feeling. Maybe if you move it a bit more up.. so you can see more of Carolyn Jones?

I also like that you choosed to work in B/W... it actually looks more silver than b/w so it looks expensive... Expensive and profesional. :elvis:

I was making a cover for King Creole also....but after seeing this one...i will start working on a other cover, this one from you is really a good cover!! Please make the rest of this cover!! it's a real cool cover so far.
Maybe a change with the pics..King Creole is a real good movie, and Elvis looks real cool and i would go for a cool looking Elvis pic for the front cover, but that's me. You really designed a winner here!

Stace,

I like that design very much personally, it's not cluttered at all, it has a nice composition.

I agree with Little Sister about making Carolyn Jones more visable on the top photo but apart from that I say you've made a very classy design.

A nice soft pastel shade on the text of the title and the cast text may set it off even more - if you wanted to add any colour to your design.

From your website it is obvious you have a real talent for design and graphics and I would encourage you to try and finish this cover at some point.

Great job !

lol Linda :) Thank you--everybody you've been great. I tried everything and I even added color...brown?

Of course I'm gonna pick romantic looking pictures... Sorry...I know I should try and make it look more gritty or fun or something because it's not really a romance movie but I think just that scene--it's so pretty. I'm gonna do the other half of it and see what happens and I'll post it here. I think I went a little overboard on the new attempt above. Someone should slap me as soon as I go to add a brush because I can't stop. It looks like the map of the Ponderosa that bursts into flames at the beginning of Bonanza

Stacy,

A little colour and a brush go a long way huh ;) fantastic - any chance you can upload a larger version to show off the detail a little more.

 I messed up...I was going by Unchained's covers to see where to put things but I messed up and started doing the back cover on the fold in part. But oh well. I'm not gonna attempt one of these again. I just realized I have to scan in dolby digital logos and paramout logos and DVD logos for it... I bow down to all you folks who take the time to do these...it's craziness. I'm just gonna finnish the other side since I posted this much.

I couldn't find my own logos--they are unchained's. I made my own "WIDESCREEN" thing though because I hate taking other people's stuff. Here...this is finnished. I can't do any more  If I do another one I won't mess it up.

Stacy, you did a very, very good job on this cover, i saw the bigger version of it, and it just a beauty! so why do you think it's messed up?
It's one of the best alt. covers that i've seen in a long time.
Keep up the very good work!
If you do a other cover...please try to do something with TTWII SE..i think you can do something special with that one...good luck..

I just saw your .zip file, unchained--thank you :) I got it! And I appreciate it very much.

Thank you, Patrick, NightRider, JohanD :)

Well, the left half was my idea for the back cover. But flattened some of the image so it couldn't be fixed so I just tried to make it look like that insert thing in a DVD. I dunno--I hate everything I do

Unfortunately I can only see the first preview version, but even the preview at the top looks beautiful. I'm sure it looks even better with the changes. Good job circa1956 :)

Stace,
I wish you would finish or at least post what you have done to this since your first post.....King Creole along with Jailhouse Rock is my all time favorite Elvis Movie....I would love to have a copy of your design.
