Here is a great story I seen at FECC and asked if I could post the picture over here, so here they are with the story.


Elvis donated the suit in the summer of 1977 to the Holy Family Catholic Church to be raffled for charity at the Holy Family Bizarre in July. Holy Family is the church that Elvis attended the funeral service for the brother of one of his Denver police buddies (Ron Pietrofesso). They also raffled off the pew he sat in! Anyway, the week before the Bizarre, a group from the Denver Elvis fan club came to see the suit. I happened to be working a part time summer job at the church and I was asked to bring out the suit. After holding and showing the suit to everyone, one of the ladies asked me to put it on. At first I said no but they insisted so I wound up putting it on. The suit was really heavy! There was no belt though. I will dig out the picture of me wearing it and post it when I get home. Some lady from Nebraska won the suit.

Ill say it simple - there is only one man who ever looked awesome in this suit :)

That was never in question, just a great story & it's always good to know how a Jumpsuit exited stage right and off the grid ;)

gee! What a story, I've bought many a raffle ticket at church bazaars, this would have been a bargain indeed!
I wonder if the winner still owns the suit? And does he put it on & pretend to rock the house?! :lmfao:

I just look at these photo's of an Elvis Jumpsuit in the middle of a street in the sunshine and it seems unreal, I realise that Elvis donated this Jumpsuit, however the juxtaposition of seeing someone else in an original close to Elvis' death makes this a special occasion. When Elvis was alive there was a proposition that these Jumpsuits could be donated in the future; when in reality this Jumpsuit was in actual fact from 1975 when few were made in 1976 and fewer made in 1977.

To be able to wear a Jumpsuit that Elvis wore is indeed a very special occasion, to have evidence is awesome. I just wish that could have been me :'(
