Elvis is currently at No.3 behind Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury. YOU CAN VOTE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE. We need around 17,500 votes to catch Jackson up. The good news is that in the last few days votes for Elvis have been coming in 10 to 1 that of Jackson or Mercury.

Get voting guys!!

I have a suspicion that the poll is being rigged. One can buy 'Vote Rigging' Software. According to someone the Jackson fans were banned from two polls for using this. Further, don't forget the NME has to get subscriptions and they full well know that Elvis fans are not in their demographic for buying this newspaper. If Elvis were to win they would not get any additional subscriptions. Elvis is in a totally different age group (demographic) to Jackson and Mercury. Further, Jackson and Mercury had a head start of many thousands of votes before the Elvis fans found out about the poll. The secret is finding out as soon as a poll is announced. I would ask all fans to keep their eyes peeled for any such polls and post details on this forum as soon as they see them. I have many contacts in the Elvis World and will get the message out early so that we stand a better chance of winning. Of course if we suspect cheating is taking place then there is little we can do about it except report it to whoever is in charge. In this regard I do note that there is no e-mail address with which to contact the NME.

In any case I will not be voting any further in this poll which will close on June 20th. The Michael Jackson fans have this one sewn up.
