This guy is an Elvis impersonator that currently has a show in Spain called The King Story. He has been on the news on TV and giving interviews for important newspapers there telling some more than questionable stories about his "frienship" with Elvis, which having been aired and published by well known and respected media I guess few people have questioned.
He claims (among other strange things) that he met Elvis at one of his shows when he was 10 years old, that they became friends and spoke on the phone frequently. But this is not the end of the story... according to this guy, Elvis recorded something for him two days before he died (a message, I guess), gave it to his secretary and told her to send it to Miller after his death...
His show is supposed to be about "his life with Elvis" and it includes his recorded conversations with "him".
Why hasn't this friendship known in the Elvis world untill now? Does EPE know about this good friend of Elvis and his show? Anyone here knew something about it?
:hmm:

Yeah, he is. The "problem" is he is promoting his show ($63 per ticket!) with these stories...

You know what happens? I don't know in other countries, but in Spain you don't get as much information of Elvis private life as you get there or in the UK. Most of the books on him in spanish are the typical biographies written by people who didn't know him. I could be mistaken, but the only ones with that kind of information I've seen in spanish are the Guralnik's books. So if you can't read english you don't know that part of Elvis life, and if you read in a newspaper that this guy was a good friend of Elvis you don't know this guy is making those stories up. The journalists should take more seriously their work though, shame on them...

I agree Donut. The media is so out of control that it's impossible to believe anything they print or announce anymore.....

I'm with Nathan...This guy gives the Elvis Tribute Business a bad name. Nathan and I take a lot of pride to give the best back to Elvis fans. A true and honest tribute act.

I totally agree with Donut and Diane that anyone can say anything anymore and its treated like Gospel. What has happened to checking out these things and getting a couple other sources other than accepting a self promoting statement as fact?

So true, journalism is slowly loosing its social task thanks to examples like these. If you can't believe what an information professional writes, then, what is the point of getting informed?
I've seen an interview where this guy is asked if he could be Elvis son, he answers that his mother knew Elvis but that he doesn't want to talk about that subject... and no one there aks him further about that implication he was making! Amazing, really...

Could be that since so many have gotten sue happy that no one is willing to take the chance to question or say much of anything anymore.

Yeah, he is. The "problem" is he is promoting his show ($63 per ticket!) with these stories...
I e-mailed this guy and asked him,
"You have to realise the way you say your mother met Elvis and you were born about a year later-the implication is that you are his son, is that what you are saying"
His answer "Have you seen the show?-I do not give out information about my show in e-mails-the show deals with all this"
So he wants us to pay that $63 pretty bad.

Yes he does and he does make things look bad for the other sincere ETAs.

Aaah, then we'll have to see his show to know the truth! ;)
Thanks, KPM.
