Just thought it would be fun to see how many others enjoy the collecting of Elvis music and such. Since I began collecting 10 years ago at the age of 11, I am up to the 350 point of cd's, all EP of course:P How many do you have in your collection? Not sure if I would include cd-r's or mp3's as part of it but each to his own, I personally only have around 5 cd-r's that contain shows that haven't been put on to silver disc yet, rest are originals.

Pfff... I've got a lot: all RCA/BMG's, all FTD's, all boxsets, all soundboard import releases and several outtake imports.

As soon as a better version is released, I sell the old version. For example: in the late 90s-early 2000s many of the original albums were re-released with bonustracks and better sound. So I purchased those and got rid of the old versions. Same goes with the soundboards. FTD's version of the 1976 New Years Eve was better than the bootleg version, so I sold that one. Don't see the point in having more of the same shows/albums.

I think it's no surprise that I don't collect rare prints ;)

At this point, I have no idea. I've got around 50 original albums along with three or four books of cd's. Some 8-tracks, a rack of 45's. People always try and get me Elvis "stuff" for birthdays and Christmas but I always direct them to music. FTD's for every gift.

Very nice Albert.

I'm abit more selective when it does to buying bootlegs, mainly soundboards and the quality releases of audience recordings are the ones I go after.
The original RCA boxsets are all essential IMO, and the same with FTD's:notworthy

I have to admit that i don't really have any idea as i have never counted them but i will say that
I have 4 trunks of just elvis cds that i have been collecting since cds first came out,
I think i have my wife driven insane and collecting elvis music has been my number 1 hobby
ever since i was 9 years old, And Now at the grand old (Fine) Age of 45, I Still find something new
And Exciting to listen to from the 'KING'. It's wonderful being an elvis fan, Just listening to Either live or
Studio out-takes gets me all excited all over again. And the reason i do it is because i just never EVER get
Tired listening to that wonderful 'VOICE'
And If i get around to counting you will all be the 1st to know just how many cds i have,

This is a tough one...

I have all of the FTD CD's to date, both the 5-inch and the 7-inch CLASSIC ALBUMS releases. I have roughly 3 years worth of past ELVIS ONLY shows on CD which I was lucky enough to obtain from the various radio stations after they played them (52 CD's per year = around 156 CD's). I've got around 400 import CD's and probably close to 500 official CD's from RCA/Sony and the assorted labels in foreign countries. I'm also in the process of collecting the COMPLETE MASTERS SERIES from The Franklin Mint and have the complete TIME-LIFE series from a few years ago where they released a series of 2-CD sets, each one containing an unreleased alternate take.

I'm sure there are more I am forgetting about right now, but that is a rough list of the Elvis CD's I have in my collection. ;)

TCB!

I have over 200 vinyl albums, all 68 RCA releases, many originals and a lot of them bootlegs and posthumous official releases

I have a number of the cd box sets - my spouse bought me the complete masters from the first run and I, not knowing, was being snobby and jealous about it, because I never dared hope to have it - so she took my comments as not wanting it and returned it - only to tell me later and I was glad we didn't spend the money, but when she saw that I wanted it truely, she bought me a second pressing one - and it's astonishing

made me think about Elvis in a whole new way.

so about 100 official cd releases, mostly box sets and about 1500 CD-R bootlegs of outtakes and soundboards.

I also have an entire 6 shelf bookcase of Elvis books - magazines dating to the 1950's, mostly 1970's magazines - about 400 paper and harccover books.

I have well over 100 cd's... but, it's been a long time since I've counted them all... I'm probably in the 200 range? This definately makes me want to run in there and find out! LOL!

i have 2 226 at current i count by title example 70's masters = 1 title. There was a time that i was neck and neck with EDDIE HAMMER - he must have well over 5000 now , i believe the largest collection is either PETER VONBRUGEN from denmark or GREG ciselick or PAUL LICHTER they all have more than EDDIE. I have all my cds in binders [all E.P. of course] i started to only keep yhe front inserts and threw away the rest of the contents that came in the jewel cases and gate folds of ftd, D.A.E. and box sets [ i know it sounds crazy and is ] but when you collect so much ELVIS cd's , dvds , photo books , personal belongings etc it all adds up quickly and being a fan for 40 plus years you have to conserve space. I still love collecting every boot, ftd, and domestic and japaneese cd]love the latter cds ] my most treasured are the E.P.E. christmas cds that i have and the doubles i traded with GREG some years back.
