Priscilla Presley wants television show Glee to do an Elvis-themed episode.

The actress married rock ‘n’ roll star Elvis in 1967 and the couple went on to have a daughter, Lisa Marie, before divorcing in 1973. Priscilla is a huge fan of Glee – which follows a group of high school students who belong to a musical club - and thinks the cast would give terrific renditions of her ex-husband’s most famous songs.
Glee has already paid tribute to a host of music acts including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Journey and Priscilla believes Elvis should be honoured nextI think it's great,” she told ET when asked if she is a fan of Glee. “They should be doing Elvis music on there one time... I think it would be great, why not."
Priscilla was also asked about Justin Bieber, the teenage pop star who is currently setting music charts alight across the world. The 65-year-old is unsure if anyone will ever achieve the same level of success as Elvis did, but she does appreciate Justin’s music. Priscilla believes the music industry has changed a great deal since Elvis hit the charts in the 50s and she doesn’t think current artists can sustain such lengthy careers.
"You know, today is such a different time. It's just a different time,” she explained. “Justin Bieber is actually doing great at a very young age, that's another phenomena. The test of time will be how long he can stay on top

The women has lost her mind..Justin Bieber and Elvis????????

I don't know of any adults into Biebers music. Elvis appealed to all generations. That was so influential in his rise.

Does anyone else hear the sound of a cash register? ;)

It may be a nice way to promote Elvis... and the toughest part for Glee is to make a selection from Elvis immense catalogue... next challenge is not to mess up those songs.

I don't like Glee as a show personally but why not, they may bring a new audience to Elvis' music as long as they do it with dignity and respect.

yeah think its a good idea don't know if her intentions are honourable or purely for profit but glee has covered some of the big musical icons so would love to c them take on some Elvis classics be interesting to c which songs they choose and how they perform them

I think it is a great idea to let Glee have a go at some of Elvis' material, they have done a good job of other stars material.

I'm a bit of a Gleek

While I don't agree with Priscilla on this I do appreciate that she keeps Elvis' name in the media today. When her time comes to leave us it won't be as easy to get that media coverage for him any longer.

Yeah, I guess what she really tried to say was: "Glee should cover Elvis... so we can get more money". ¬¬

well, i agree with Cilla, although i dont know her ulterior motive,.... if its for more money, I know i will not get any :D

you know , i think its cool to hear Elvis songs/ music on TV every now and then specially with large viewers like Glee, as much as I dont think I will really like the way they represent Elvis on Viva Elvis, the hideous Elvis wigs and some dancers, I didnt really care.....

But i was wow with tid - bits of it while Miss Universe last year in Las Vegas.... they re-arranged Elvis songs in such...it was 'Burning Love..' 'Viva Las Vegas ' and i dont remember the other one...but it was AWESOME !!!! as if it was the music they made today, ...it was just beautiful arrangements, I think Elvis would have been really proud .

At this point after all these years I don't care about Priscilla's motives. All I care about is that Elivs is shown in a good light.
