My graceland visit :)

I was finally able to go to graceland. I live maybe 20 mins from there but I have never been able to afford to go. A friend of mine offered to take me. I was able to take pics but I had to take my flash off. I am posting some pics. I took over 50 and I know I won't be able to post them all lol. I also wasn't able to go to everywhere I could have cause I had to get back home to get my kids off the bus. I went to the gift shop and got me some Elvis chap stick, an Elvis watch and an Elvis mug with my name on it. I never thought they would have a "Tina" there since my name isn't that popular but they did! It really made my day :) Anyhow, here's some pics

I am so happy that you finally got to go. You have a LOT more willpower and patience than I do...there is NO way I could live 20 minutes away from Graceland and not go!! :doh:

Great pictures. Seems like February is a good time to go if you'd like some more time in the house?

Another little tip, I found, is to go late afternoon. You get a longer in the house and hardly any people either.

I would do that May but my kids get off the bus at a little after 3 and I have to be home for that :( I think next month they open at 8 so I will have more time to see everything. This month, they don't open until 10. I did have a blast though! There were a lot of people there. Every time I tried to snap a pic, someone would walk in front of me so I would end up taking a pic of the same thing two or three times. It kills me to have lived 20 mins away all my life and am just now able to go. I mean, I have seen pics online of the house but there's nothing like seeing it in person

That was an amazing feeling. I've been there six times and everytime I go there I can feel Elvis. So I know where you are coming from Tommy. Tina, I am glad that you finally got to go. To me, it is a one of a kind experience.
