Four hours after the box office sale of tickets for the Elvis Presley charity show started yesterday, a "sold out" sign went up at the Central Ticket office in Goldsmith's. However, 668 seats are still available in the gallery of the Amphitheater of Ellis Auditorium and they will be offered on a "first come, first served" basis at 9:30 this morning at the ticket office. Gallery seats are $2 each. A section has been reserved for Negroes. "Memphis has never seen anything like this in the entertainment business," a veteran showman said last night.
Just goes to show what a difference 50 years makes.
