How many records has Elvis sold

I read on the internet and various other places that say Elvis has sold more than a billion records.I also read that he sold 1.7 billion.My brother says that Elvis has sold 2 billion.Can anybody tell me how much he has sold.I am getting conflicting opinions,I am pretty sure that he is the biggest selling artist of all time though.

in 1994 It Was Stated That Elvis Presley Had Sold Just Over A Billion And A Half Records WorldWide,
If I Remember It Rightly The Recording Industry Made A Presentation To Graceland At That Time Also.

when I was at Graceland in 1987, there was a a huge award fro a billion in sales.

the reality is that Elvis has sold so many, it's impossible to count - many countries didn't track sales

factor in bootlegs - no one even know how many titles there are out there!
