Had to write this, one of my fav songs of all came on I LOST YOU, only to be wailed by this tuneless, lifeless woman, who literally sucked the life out of a passionate song, please stop my ears now bleed.
If this show proves anything, it shows how far above this lot Elvis STILL is, this show is an insult to a true entertainer, please STOP NOW !

PS, saved a little face by SIR TOM, thank god for that ...............

The best part of this concert was The Wonder of You and Suspicious Minds - nuff said!

I think its a shame some people didnt like this concert. Personally I thought it was a very classy tribute that was very high profile and has attracted alot of attention. We all could have guessed that these singers were'nt going to match Elvis but there were some great versions (i felt). It was carried off without making fun of Elvis; none of the musicians were in a tacky jumpsuit (as far as im aware). It was also a great bit of publicity for Viva Elvis, and did they show Elvis on a screen whilst the TCB band played Wonder of You? like the Elvis in concert tours? If they did well great too because it could have tempted new comers into buying tickets when the next tour comes around.

Radio 2 could have picked alot worse to perform. it was a chance to see/hear the TCB Band (who are amazing in their own right) and Priscilla. It was a good weather, the venue was amazing. I think it would have made for a excellent evening, shame i couldn't make it. I cant see where the problem is personally.

I don't agree with you, I think is great that they did a nice tribute show to Elvis, I have 24 years old and I love to see this kind of shows for examples I just saw Elvis on tour in Santiago wich wa amazing cause make me get closer with Elvis and his music, and help to others youngest to become Elvis's fans or starting to listining to his music.

I enjoyed it, everyone sang their own way, nobody tried to imitate Elvis, they just wanted to sing an Elvis song, hope it is shown on tv sometime.

Maybe fine for the kids to accept this sort of c***, but not for people who were there when he was still alive, but i forgive the youngsters, they know no different ........

I was there last night and thought it was a great show - and yes they did show elvis singing at the end.

The acts were all respectful regarding EP and there were some nice suprises. Normally people only cover the standards so it was a nice change to hear The Magnets do accapella versions of Return to Sender and She's Not You while Elio Pace did Such a Night.
Personnel favourite was Imelda May with My Baby Left Me. Looked like she was really enjoying being there.
