Elvis Presley
On Stage in the U.S.A.
Release Date 2000
Label Wizardo
Rating:
In the 1970s, it was always frustrating when a collector didn't bother to tell you where or when a live performance was recorded. A bootleg LP that surfaced in 1975, On Stage in the U.S.A., doesn't list any recording dates at all and Wizardo (one of the top bootleggers of the 1970s) doesn't tell you what any of the venues are. But according to a 1978 edition of the bootleg reference guide -Hot Wacks, these performances span 1955-1970. Presley is in good to excellent form on the material, which ranges from &"Memories" to early favorites like &"Jailhouse Rock," &"Don't Be Cruel," and &"Teddy Bear." The sound varies from one show to the next; parts of the LP have decent sound quality, and parts of it offer lousy sound. On Stage in the U.S.A., which went out of print when the FBI put Wizardo out of business in 1977, isn't the most consistent bootleg in the world, and because it was assembled in such a sloppy, careless fashion, it's a bootleg that only a completist would want. Alex Henderson, All Music Guide.
Many of the tracks listed are not from Vegas in 1969 and much to everyone's disappointment no songs have surfaced from the Opening Night. Further, Elvis never sang 'Got A Lot O' Living To Do' live on tour or in Vegas.

The July 31st 1969 show was invited guests and press so I doubt that anyone smuggled in a tape recorder for this show-these were celebrities, friends and press.
I hope someday something from this show surfaces but so far nothing has.

to be honest: I would only like to have this August 31 show if it was in a stunning sound. For example: I listen to Spring Tours much more often than Pittsburg, eventhough this was a better show ;)

I don't think it's from July 1969 - Burning Love wasn't out in 69. If I had to guess I would guess 1973.

If "Burning Love"; "Got A Lot Of Livin' To Do"; "Big Hunk O' Love"; "Lawdy Miss Clawdy"' (twice??)"; "Treat Me Nice"; "I, John"; & "Teddy Bear" is in the list, then you can definitely rule out July 31,1969. None of those songs were performed onstage until the 1970s (except for "I, John" and "Got A Lot Of Livin' To Do" & "Treat Me Nice" - which weren't performed at all onstage).

Brian Quinn explained it very well.
These tracks are from an old seventies bootleg album. The cover is shown in the clip.

I also have this record ,and mine was with a plain white cover, on the Wizardo label, The songs are from different sources, As far as I can remember some songs came directly
from the soundtrack of the original movie , last segment is from On Tour.
