Some FTD News/Rumors [Archive]

Just found a couple of news tidbits on the FTD label from an Elvis blog:

* According to Ernst Jorgensen, the long anticipated Sun book/CD project is roughly 2/3 finished but they keep finding some additional and new information to include in the book. Ernst hopes that the project will finally be released by the end of this year.

* Also according to Ernst, a "Classic Albums" release of the ELVIS (FOOL) album is in the works.

Thought I would share this with everyone!! ;)

I'll be buying the Sun project right away! Great news.

About the '73 album called Elvis (aka the Fool album), most alternate takes for that one are in other FTD projects that I own, and I got the 90's Cd reissue, so, not being a big fan of that album, NOT A CLASSIC to me, can't see the point. I'm not buying that one.

Can't wait for the How Great Thou Art one, now that IS a classic!!!

Thanks Mike for this update. I know for the fans, this anticipation of waiting is making it worse, but then you think, hopefully atleast, that the longer it takes to complete the more it will be complete and filled with info!

I agree! While it is tough to wait, the more time they take to complete the project, the more complete it will be and worth the money spent on it by the fans! (y)
