'Elvis In Concert' Returns To Europe 2011

'Elvis In Concert' will definately return in the fall of 2012. So far the only information I have got is that it will visit 'international shores'. More information when I get it.

I've commented on this before. The first outings for 'Elvis The Concert' Tour in 1999 were in various locations throughout the U.S.A., mainly big indoor concert halls.

Unfortunately, they were not very well attended for whatever reason. From what I have gleaned since, it appears that the American public could not understand the concept of the show believing it to be an 'Impersonator' one. Later, the concert visited Radio City Music Hall in New York and this was a sell-out over 4 shows I believe. It was also well attended at the Las Vegas Hilton.

As far as EPE and Stig Edgren Events are concerned they are going to go where the demand and money is which at this time appears to be Europe and perhaps a few other countries. Further, they will not want another Elvis 'vehicle' to compete with 'Viva Elvis' in the U.S.A., especially during the current economic downturn.

A fan on the EPE Website has just got a reply from the producer of 'Elvis In Concert' - Stig Edgren - stating that the said show will also be playing some U.S.A. dates apart from the International ones in 2011.

Latest news from Stig Edgren, the producer of 'Elvis In Concert'. The U.S.A. and Canadian legs of the next tour will be in 2011. The UK leg will be in March, 2012 and in Asia sometime in 2012.

More information when I get it.

A posting from a fan on another Elvis Message Board states that he contacted SEG Events (Promoters of the Concert) and they told him that 2 shows were planned for Ireland. I suspect they will be similar venues as last time - one in Belfast (Northern Ireland) and one in Dublin (Ireland).

Irish fans - keep your eyes peeled. No dates/venues have yet been officially announced.

As far as I know there are no plans for 'Elvis In Concert' to play in Israel. Personally I would love it to appear in those countries where it has not played before - the loyal Elvis fans deserve it.
