Anyone else watch this show or have read the Southern Vampire books?


I love that in the books, Elvis is a minor character - Bubba - who was brought over as a vampire, but it went wrong and he didn't come out quite all there.

I wish the show would have him - it's rather important to book 4

Im on the last Book . Bubba is a great character but Alan Ball is not putting him in the series at least that what he has said .

I love the tv series - now I gotta read the books - if only to find Bubba LOL

Bubba is in most of the books and rather important to book 3.

the idea is that a morgue worker was a fan and a vampire - so detecting the faintest of a spark of life, brought Elvis over to be a vamp - but, he was too far gone and the drugs in his system made it not entirely work

so he's a vampire, but prefers cats to people for food - and isn't entirely all there - he's a rather simple straightforward character who doesn't like when people reference his former life - although he still performs periodically.

I think Kurt Russel should do it

it's not campy or tacky in the books, so I don't see why the show would be different
